All applicant files are reviewed as soon as they are complete.
Invitations are extended to those individuals with qualifications
demonstrating a strong candidacy for general surgery. Applicants are invited to
visit us early in December and January.
We encourage applicants to arrive the evening before and
attend a dinner with faculty and residents. Overnight accommodations are
provided by the Hospital.
On the following day an overview of the program is provided
as well as a tour of the facilities. Prospective residents have the opportunity
to meet with three to four faculty including the Program Director and
Department Chairman. During the visit, residents are available to answer
questions. The day concludes with lunch, information about the area and a
wrap-up session with residents.
